GENERAL SUMMARY Troubleshoot, assemble, calibrate, repair, rework or perform routine testing on a variety of electronic components, subassemblies and assemblies, on one or more product lines. This position involves routine and repetitive work, and assists in establishing and improving procedures and processes, and works independently. MAJOR DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Test and calibrate electronic components, sub-assemblies and instruments in accordance with approved practices and procedures 2. Follow process documents, test procedures, and specifications 3. Ensure adherence to drawing specifications, workmanship standards, and test procedures 4. Inspect, identify, and drive quality improvements 5. Troubleshoot a wide variety of assemblies, test systems, and products to the component level and interface with engineering in resolving the root cause of technical problems and defect analysis 6. Assure all test equipment meets calibration requirements and calibrate test equipment as needed. 7. Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and verify equipment to ensure proper calibration and operation. Complete calibration/maintenance logs and reports on time and accurately. 8. Provide technical assistance to area, both assembly and technical when required for line balancing or delays 9. Provide training or assistance to less experienced team members 10. Take initiative and assists engineering with making improvements and creating new procedures and processes BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate Degree, technical degree, or equivalent
- 3+ years of technician experience
- Pre-employment job skills testing required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
- Proficient with the use of MS Office programs (high
- Proficient troubleshooting and repair fundamentals
- Knowledge of related practices, processes and
- Good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination
- Extended comprehension of business and computer
- Ability to motivate and work independently in a team
- Experience working with engineering to develop and
- May require performing visually detailed close-up work
- May involve exposure to chemicals, solvents and solder
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment
- May require movement of objects (up to 35 pounds)
