Coalfire is currently seeking a Systems Analyst in its Seattle Washington office to be responsible for handling several key areas such as monitoring and maintenance of Microsoft Windows servers, and networks in a production environment as well as provide level2 technical assistance to the Help Desk group. Coalfire delivers a wide range of audit and assessment services including vulnerability assessment, policy development, compliance audit and management for the Payment Card Industry (PCI, merchants, service providers), Application Security, Banking (FFIEC, SOX), Utilities (NERC), Healthcare (HIPAA), Government (NIST) and other regulatory areas.
Responsibilities:
Ownership and execution of standardized machine process. Meet established control requirements for documentation of problems or incidents that are fielded. Perform problem resolution, maintenance, repairs, upgrades and installation of various types of server and desktop hardware. Provide primary response capabilities to problems/incidents occurring in a production environment for software components including Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 and other Microsoft-based software. Maintain operational documentation for production environment including equipment assignment and hardware inventory. Communicate with internal users and external customers as required; Keeping them informed of support progress and notifying them of problem resolution.
Requirements:
Excellent analysis, troubleshooting and technical skills required. Ability to handle multiple tasks and to set goals. Ability to meet deadlines while paying attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills After-hours availability to troubleshoot critical issues and perform scheduled system maintenance. Minimum 2-4 years of system-level experience. Knowledge of and experience in supporting Microsoft products in a Microsoft-centric environment. Familiarity with Linux-based OS. Administration experience a plus, but not required.
