Amazon's Corporate Applications BI team needs a Technical Program Manager with a strong business focus to support our business vision. Our team is focused on delivering business intelligence solutions to Finance, HR, Tax and other Corporate functions.
This roleâs scope includes defining strategy and requirements, and leading cross functional development teams from design through delivery. You will be accountable for driving the entire product lifecycle, from platform product definition through specification, coding, quality assurance and launch to the world. This position involves regular communication with senior management on status, risks and change control. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

Qualified candidates have experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets; as well as analyzing cost/benefit of feature selection and communicating results throughout the organization.
The successful candidate will have 5 or more years of relevant work experience in internet-related project and/or technical product management! in a software applications environment with demonstrated progression in responsibilities. An undergraduate degree in software-product management, computer science, or equivalent experience is required.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of Program Management experience in a related industry, retail is preferred
- Experience managing efforts in data warehouses and/or developing large scale reporting solutions
- Experience working across multiple technical teams
- Background in financial and banking applications
- Experience with designing technical solutions
- Strong knowledge of SQL/RDBMS technologies
- A strong desire to work in a fast paced dynamic environment.
- Must be able to work independently with limited general supervision.
- Experience prioritizing competing demands, scoping large efforts and negotiating timelines are necessary skills. A Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or MBA
