Creates and leads the implementation of the Organizational Change Management (OCM) adoption methodologies for large, com! plex, enterprise wide initiatives to ensure that quality, acceptance, ability, and accountability are embedded into the initiativeâs approach.
Partners with FHS leaders to develop the specific adoption approach, plan, and resources needed for an initiative and leads and oversees resources needed for the effective implementation of this plan.
This includes leading the analysis of the organizational impact of the change required by an initiative, identifying the talent, process, structure, and workforce skill changes that may be needed to achieve success, and partnering to develop and implement the plan to support these changes.
Incumbents are also accountable for: 1) contributing to the development of a culture of organizational change and to support CHI FHS strategies, and 2) managing and meeting multiple deadlines for simultaneous projects requiring superior creative, strategic thinking, organization and a thorough attention to detail sk! ills.
A moderate amount of travel on a regional and n! ational level may be required.
Essential Duties:
Analyzes the impact of the change required; develops an approach that addresses the talent, process, structure, and skill changes needed for success, and partners with resources across CHI/FHS to support these changes.
Leads and conducts OCM adoption work for assigned project(s),
including: complete OCM readiness assessments, workflow analysis, and user engagement analysis; conducts performance assessment to identify gaps between desired and current state.
Partners with project team to develop plans and education to close gaps.
Leads the customization of the CHI OCM adoption methodologies and terminology for assigned FHS program.
Plans the overall approach, identifies leadership and sponsorship needs, and identifies resource requirements.
Creates detailed action steps and integrates into program project plans, collaborating with external vendors ! as required by the OneCare Epic program.
Monitors and modifies on a continuous basis as required over the life of the program.
Partners with strategic program leaders to build and plan for successful adoption approach and teams required for the program. Leads and coordinates the application of CHIâs overall OCM adoption methodology to accelerate the successful implementation and adoption of initiatives.
Provides consulting and support in creating teams and on-going team effectiveness through team-building activities, team organization, and effective communication.
Collaborates with leaders to identify, obtain and manage resources required to support the adoption work for assigned initiative.
Manages requests for new FTEs, and local (MBO) resources needed.
Obtains resources such as: outside contractors, and/or staff from the learning effectiveness team, as needed.
Determines and tracks costs to the appro! priate cost centers, including reimbursement for MBO resources, as appr! opriate.
Partners with leaders and executive sponsors to identify and coach on how to increase adoption and end user support for strategic initiatives/programs.
Mentors, coaches, and guides organizational change management adoption resources at the local and regional level to effectively manage the adoption and engagement process for all levels of staff, including physicians.
Identifies local (MBO) project team members, including physician champions, and provides coaching as needed.
Customizes the adoption approach to the local needs and situation; provides guidance and oversight for the local implementation of the program.
Leads and teaches OCM adoption workshops and demonstrations as needed, as part of the overall OCM education approach for all levels of staff, including physicians.
Tracks and measures their effectiveness in utilizing OCM adoption tools/techniques for a specific program.
Partners, continuously! , with other OCM team members to evaluate and integrate best practices, vendor adoption activities, and local approaches into a standard consistent CHI method and approach to promote continuous improvement.
Attends and receives necessary training to support and participate in OneCare Epic project-wide initiatives and timelines when applicable.
Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
Bachelorâs Degree in business administration, change/organizational development, process engineering or related clinical discipline and five
years of directly related work experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities.
Direct work experience relating to health care process (inpatient, ambulatory, revenue cycle, pharmacy, etc.) changes is strongly preferred.
Or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, ! skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position! .
License/Certification:
Current certification in Process Improvement through the CMMI Institute is preferred.
