This position will primarily support the Associate and Senior Designer in all design & pre-production duties.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Seasonal research and concept prep
- Development sketching as needed
- Design per season and meet calendar deadlines
- Attend and take notes at development and production fittings as needed, follow up on design changes based on fitting
- Seasonal and development fabric organization
- Receive and log incoming PP and TOP samples
- Measure/Spec PP and TOP samples & input on TP for fitting
- Create and organize line sheets
- Input & update design board based on TP comments from designers
- Organize and prepare design racks, reference samples, keep track and check in garments when received
- Assist in developing women’s denim washes and keeping track and organizing of all info
- Other duties assigned as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in apparel design or design assistance. Denim experience is a plus!
- Efficient in MS office & Excel
- Intermediate skills in Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Acrobat and/or Adobe Photoshop
- Strong computer literacy skills in excel & word
- Efficient communication skills and teamwork abilities
- Must be detail-oriented, organized & able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- In-person work required (remote work not available)
- Must be eligible to work in U.S and have reliable means of transportation
