Founded in 2001, the Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law is dedicated to conducting rigorous, independent research on sexual orientation and gender identity law and public policy. The Institute disseminates its research to policymakers, judges, the media, and other stakeholders to ensure that decisions impacting the lives of millions of LGBT people and families are based on data and facts. The Williams Institute is in search of a Development Assistant who will coordinate and execute activities vital to advance the work of the Institute.
The Development Assistant supports the coordination and administration of all Development functions at The Williams Institute. Incumbent provides logistical and administrative support around gift processing, donor stewardship and events, database management and reporting, and scheduling of donor and prospect meetings for the Senior Director of Development.

In addition, they assist in identifying, soliciting, acknowledging, and stewarding annual and special-gift prospects and donors. This position will expose the incumbent to stewarding donors, assisting with coordinating and planning development events (small dinners to a large annual gala event), drafting proposals and reports, and maintaining and running reports from donor records. The individual will have primary responsibility for updating, maintaining, and creating processes with the donor database; Salesforce and Blackbaud. Prior experience with a donor CRM is a must.Percentage of Time:

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
