Guest Service Agent/Front Desk Host (Full-time or Part-time)
Guest Service Agent starts at $19 per hour.
HYATT house is an extended-stay, residential-style hotel that aims to provide individual travelers with the feel of a modern condominium. The 125 to 200-room, all-suite properties offer comforts of home such as fully-equipped kitchens, flat-panel HDTVs, and free high-speed internet access. The public space features facilities such as a pool, a fitness center, and a business center. A full breakfast every morning and H Bar in the evenings. HYATT house properties are located in urban, airport, and suburban locations and can accommodate small corporate meetings and corporate clients seeking to place their employees on extended assignments.
The Guest Service Agent is responsible for checking in and checking out all hotel guests. This person must have excellent organization and communication skills as well as superior guest service abilities. This is a fast-paced position that will involve cash handling, answering telephones, providing local information to guests, etc. all in an attentive, courteous, and efficient manner.
Position Requirements
- Immediately greet guests and offer to assist with their needs.
- Register and assign guests to hotel rooms.
- Establish a method of payment and verify credit.
- Make and confirm reservations.
- Compute bills, collect payments, and make changes for guests.
- Transmit and receive messages, using telephones or PMS systems.
- Respond to guest requests in a timely manner.
- Receive and resolve guest complaints, elevating to supervisor if necessary.
- Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment, and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Assist in the breakfast area or assist guests with luggage when staffing assistance is required or during peak periods.
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.

Experience
- A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous customer service experience or equivalent training is required.
- Knowledge of PMS systems is preferred.
Work Environment and Context
- Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.
Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching; stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
