SCM ANALYST

Location: Washington

Description: PAML is currently seeking to employ SCM ANALYST right now, this job will be placed in Washington. For detail informations about this job opportunity kindly see the descriptions. Responsible for ensuring compliance of Dangerous Goods/Hazmat providing business and technical support to all SCM Enterprise system configurations, testing, deployment and end-user training. Ensuring shippers are trained on all dangerous goods shipments so they are properly packaged, marked, labeled, and transported according to Hazardous Materials Regulations. Inventory Control is responsible for monitoring and maintaining accuracy levels of PAML Enterprise inventory (6,000 items in over 20 locations) according to company policy. QA reporting on client supplies, research and reporting on internal errors and supporting co-working on needed detail for budgets. Provides business and technical support to all SCM Enterprise system configurations, testing, deployment and end-user training on all software applications.

Responsibilities

1. Provides system configuration, testing, and training support to SCM Enterprise. 2. Research and resolve reported application bugs or functional breakdowns through business and technical analysis. 3. Monitors help desk ticket submissions and report status on progress. 4. Coordinate/perform weekly cycle counting for multiple locations. 5. Coordinate/perform yearly physical inventory for multiple locations. 6. Provide weekly and yearly inventory reporting. 7. Report any expiration, lot, quantity, and labeling, stock rotation, purchasing, or receiving errors/issues to manager. 8. Compile and analyze data from all related inventory transactions and verify accuracy. 9. Record inventory valuation and perform month end processes and provide correct reporting in the General Ledger. 10. Provide accurate general ledger coding to Accounts Payable for Invoice discrepancies using Workflow. 11. Maintain, obsolete, void, and create new PAML and JV item numbers through New Item Process utilizing CRM for documentation of changes. 12. Maintain, create, and assign accurate posting accounts for inventory items. 13. Provide training to internal and external DC shippers according to the Dangerous Goods rules and regulations and monitors compliance. 14. May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Detail and deadline oriented. 2. Self-motivated and proactive. 3. Knowledge of inventory processes; inventory auditors/inventory reporting. 4. Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting or related field or combination of education and experience or equivalent work experience. 5. Requires 5-7 years of experience in Supply Chain/Materials Management. 6. Experience with accounting practices, to include cost accounting. 7. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook. 8. Ability to prepare and analyze reports and explain trends and variances. 9. Ability to maintain effective work relationships and communicate relevant issues to management. 10. Strong organizational skills with ability to work in a matrix environment. 11. Ability to learn and efficiently operate multiple software programs. 12. Possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills. 13. Effective written and verbal communication. 14. Ability to handle stressful situations both from internal and external sources. 15. Ability to operate various office equipment including adding machine, phone, PC system.

Preferred education, skills or experience

1. Thorough knowledge of the principles and concepts of accounting techniques and practices. 2. Knowledge of dangerous goods safety related procedures/regulations 3. Experience in Supply Chain Management and/or accounts payable
