We are looking for a creative, technical, yet highly organized Software Development Manager.
This is someone who has hands-on experience with hands-on programming and management of software development projects. This person thrives in a collaborative environment, and aligns technical teams to deliver end-products that crush the status quo. Our goal is to create new industry standards. Ultimately, you°ll have the opportunity to make a large impact to our product-direction on a daily basis, and in turn, our entire industry.
The Responsibilities: Wire frame new features and application changes. Review and direct new feature implementation and bug fixes to ensure they meet client requirements. Manage workflow between technical and non-technical teams as they interact, engineer/develop, and implement new software services " features at a production code level. Work with Support leadership to streamline customer feedback, bug-fix requests, and new feature requests into Development team project pipeline.
Manage GitHub milestones and update GitHub issues with progress. Communicate with Executive Leadership team to ensure projects align to organizational mission " goals. The Qualifications: Experience as a Software Engineer (you MUST deeply understand the life of a Software Engineer). Ability to plan and develop implementation plans for new feature development, incorporating sustainment tasks into the development team°s workflows.
Experience managing simultaneous small to large projects, while ensuring team members are clear on the scope, time constraints, and expectations. Must be skilled at utilizing a widely-adopted project management software (Basecamp, MS Project, etc). Must enjoy the fast paced - yet - innovative nature of startups. Huge plus: PHP/LAMP stack oriented programming experience.
