THE YMCA OF GREATER SEATTLE

GENERAL FUNCTION
Implements, manages and oversees branch business and
financial functions/systems, and provides human resource
administrative support. Ensures that appropriate
internal controls are in place and accounting procedures
are followed.
KNOW-HOW
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business
management or equivalent education/experience. Two or
more years of related experience including personnel,
supervision, computer use, financial procedures, and
customer service. Prefer knowledge of, ! and previous
experience with, diverse populations (languag! e, culture,
race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.).
Ability to speak any language in addition to English may
be helpful.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
1. Implements, manages and oversees the business and
financial functions of the branch operations, including
keeping the Executive Director informed, preparing
appropriate reports, managing accounts payable systems
and purchase orders, monitoring deposits and weekly cash
reports, assisting auditors as needed, and ensuring
adherence to all financial guidelines. Participates in
Administrative Cabinet.
2. Manages the maintenance and upkeep of building
telephone system, fax machines, copy machine and
printers as well as all other office machines to include
purchase, repair and programming.
3. Provides le! adership to the YMCA’s annual fundraising
campaign. Ensures appropriate administrative support for
the campaign, including event coordination,
record-keeping, materials production, monthly billing to
donors, and thank you letters.
4. Assists with overall branch budget development and
management. Assists Branch Executive in reviewing
financial statements and in preparing variance reports.
Distributes monthly financial statements. Develops,
implements and manages budgets for assigned departments.
5. Identifies, trains, evaluates and supervises assigned
staff and volunteers to ensure proper business functions
are completed in accordance with all guidelines.
Provides oversight of all branch business operations.
6. Orders office supplies and maintains branch program
statistics.
7. Provides general administrative support to Branch
Executive for board/committees. May attend and help
staff the branch Finance ! Committee. Maintains calendar
of all branch and Association deadlin! es.
EFFECT ON END RESULTS
This position ensures appropriate business
administration and sound financial management. Ensures
that the branch business office functions in an
appropriate and efficient manner.
