The Inventory Enablement team, within Supply and Demand Alignment team, supports and enables Microsoft Advertising to efficiently utilize/manage inventory, maximize ad rev! enue, and effectively analyze yield, via proficient network hierarchy, taxonomy, and SKU management. The Inventory Enablement team supports inventory monetization for O&O, 3PL/3PS engagement through strategic consulting for establishing/upholding ad location creation standards/policies/best practices, and optimizing ad location across platforms. The team works to define the cornerstones of ad location optimization through inventory allocation (where is the demand coming from) and SKU rationalization (How do we measure and maintain network/setting the entry bar). As part of the Inventory Enablement team, the team works closely with product management teams within the broader Display Marketplaces, MOI Ad Operations, and Microsoft Business Group and R&D as well as A&O Monetization teams.
The Inventory Enablement manager supports effective inventory monetization for Microsoft Advertising global sales regions. The Inventory Enablement Manager is responsible for supporti! ng cross platform inventory optimization efforts, in close coo! rdination with MS BG, R&D, A&O monetization managers. The Inventory Enablement Manager works in close coordination with Ad Operations team to provide operational excellence while optimizing for efficiencies in the fulfillment process lifecycle.
DUTIES
- Lead and support inventory enablement across all MSA platforms, sales channels, and offerings.
- Support steady state process for Exchange markets.
- Manage global alias to field location requests and questions from business stakeholders.
- Liaison with Ad Operations (HOM team) to communication ad offering strategy and ensure operational excellence of workflow processes and procedures.
- Partner to support 3P publisher onboarding for inventory enablement & standardization of processes to scale this business.
- Partner outreach to educate on how the network functions and how it helps make business more efficient.
- Work with monetization teams and regional pro! duct management on regional tool rollouts.
- Provide regional input into the product planning process.
- Research, identify and work closely with global business stakeholder to analyze request, projects, and/or resolve escalations.
- Communicate team initiatives to broader BG and A&O through Monetization Newsletter, virtual summit, and other forums.
Strong project management skills around complex, multi-workstream projects, as well as shorter-term tactical projects across a wide variety of business functions and teams
- Experience with ad technologies and site technologies
- Experience in sales & client service operations, and/or product development in a publisher or technology company
- Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional v-teams to achieve results, and ability to build strong and productive cross-organizational re! lationships at all levels of the organization
- Proven ability t! o develop strategies and translate into actionable plans, supported by quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Strong decision making, problem solving, and analytical/quantitative skills
- The ability to think creatively and strategically about customer, market, and business issues
- Ability to build productive ongoing business relationships with peers, partners and senior management across the organization
- Proven ability to articulate a project's vision and benefits with appropriate targeting to audience
- Experience in ambiguous and rapidly changing business environments, preferably in the digital advertising, software or IT industries
- Strong passion for technology, marketing and digital media
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel, Visio, Project and PowerPoint)
- Management/strategic consulting experience ideal
- Strong professional experience, including digi! tal advertising/technology industry experience
- Demonstrated experience leading projects (developing project plans, assigning tasks [OARP, RASCI], developing recommendations and obtaining buy-in)
- Exposure to Process Improvement projects
- PMP/PMI and/or Six Sigma Certification a plus
