Advanced Technologies and Laboratories (ATL) International, Inc, a growing government contractor, is seeking a Document Control Specialist for the 222-S Laboratory on the Hanford site ! in Richland, Washington. This position is responsible for the administration, maintenance, processing of all administrative documents in accordance with ATL procedures. The term âadministrative documentsâ refers to policies, plans, management directives, laboratory technical procedures, and forms.
Responsibilities:
Coordination and administration of ATL administrative and technical procedures.
Schedules, coordinates, and tracks procedure revision activity: leads and assists staff in the submittal of required forms for procedure processing, designated reviewers, managing the comment resolution cycle, and ensuring appropriate signatures and approvals are obtained and documented.
Maintains procedures as controlled documents, including superseded and canceled revisions in IDMS. Ensure current procedures are available electronically and ATL procedure webpage is current.
Ensures new document and revisions meet professional standards for clarity! and comprehension.
Prepares and releases procedures wi! th consistent formats: ensure editing standards and specific procedures templates, as available, are applied uniformly to all administrative documents. Reviews, writes, and edits non-technical information in the procedure.
Verifies document control of goldenrod copies of procedures by assisting with periodic surveillance. Works with 222-S Facility Procedure Administration to control the goldenrod copies of co-owned procedures.
Manages the creation and revision of controlled forms using Hanford Site Forms. Assists with design, and manages review and approval of forms. Serves as the Company Point of Contact with Site Forms Administration. Coordinates forms release with procedure revisions.
Effective and efficient utilization of the databases which are used to manage procedures and records (i.e., IDMS, PROTRAX, and Hanford Site Forms).
Conducts Technical Authority and Technical Owner training
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in English,! Journalism/Communications, Basic Science or equivalent relevant experience.
Five (5) years of previous experience with procedural and document control processes.
A proficient and advanced skill set in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Previous supervisory experience or leadership skills desirable.
Self-motivated and a team player attitude a must.
