Thi! s job contributes to Starbucks success by delivering small projects; moderately complex business process and department level administration activity for Law & Corporate Affairs. This position balances administrative work, functional support delivery and project responsibilities to support department operations. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Delivers customer service; answers questions and directs requests from partners. May act as a planner, host and facilitator for meetings.
Documents department general management and business processes. Plans, coordinates and executes specific process/ project tactics and timelines for work assigned.
Gathers, organizes, analyzes and reports information and metrics in support of department efficiency to improve profitability, reduce costs,! streamline operations and/or enhance customer service.
Maintains confidential partner and financial records and documents for the department.
Supports department budget management by conducting basic accounts payable functions; research on costs and variances; may perform analysis on key ledger accounts; supports routine cost analysis and allocation, prepares basic reports.
Supports department-level administration requirements for key business activities such as strategic planning; organization and partner planning; annual performance review process; department communications; department immersion program; space planning and daily personnel administration.
Qualifications
Summary of Experience
General office administration (3 years)
Project management in a fast-paced environment (3 years)
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Ability to balance multiple priorities and mee! t deadlines
Attention to detail
Ability to deliver excellent customer service
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
Knowledge of standards, practices and techniques of project management
Ability to organize large volumes of data for compilation, analysis and retrieval
Ability to learn legal terminology
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Project
