Hours: 25 Hours per week, hours can be flexible
Starting salary: $12.00 per hour
Reports to:! Resettlement Program Manager
Purpose: Responsible for providing exit and closure interviews with individuals and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. Involves assessment, planning, advocacy, coordination, education and referral of community resources.
Job Responsibilities and Duties May Include:
- Working with case managers to schedule and conduct exit interviews with refugee clients.
- Assessing needs of individuals and families utilizing appropriate interview techniques and a variety of methods and tools.
- Informing and educating individuals, families, and staff on resources available upon completion of agency services.
- Connecting individuals and families with appropriate and available community resources by providing information, referrals, education, advocacy, enrollment assistance/eligibility and follow up as necessary.
- Collaborating with other agency staff to develop and maintain l! ibrary of resources.
- Maintaining reports, records, an! d files as appropriate.
- Supervising any Social Work interns assigned to the World Relief Spokane office.
¨ Bachelorâs Degree in Social Work with a minimum of two years of experience in social work.
¨ Experience in working with culturally diverse populations.
¨ Ability to research, organize and coordinate access to community resources.
¨ Able to prioritize and work effectively and efficiently.
¨ Computer literate.
Preferred:
- Masterâs Degree in Social Work with a minimum of two years of experience in social work.
- Prior cultural experience
- Experience with different languages
- Knowledgeable about resources in local community
