Description
Ciber, Inc. is seeking to hire a Technical Delivery Manager to jo! in its practice.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the delivery of high quality systems on time and within budget, manage development issues, and manage the technology implementation.
Ensure team develops and enhances system to specifications and delivers new functionality required by the business.
Work with management staff to understand project and business priorities, manage to project milestones, and run development schedules.
Effectively provide appropriate direction and feedback to support project requirements.
Work in collaboration with design and enterprise architecture teams.
Must support weekend deployments, as scheduled.
Must have experience managing complex, web-based systems.
Must understand nTier architectures and integrated development plans.
Skills and knowledge in project management, change management, release management, configuration management, syst! ems development life cycle methodologies, quality assurance an! d testing, requirements gathering, and systems analysis and design.
Solid understanding and experience with integrated software development projects including frontend, middle tier, and backend.
Experience creating and implementing software, understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) technologies, middleware, and etc.
Understanding of J2EE, Java, .NET, PL/SQL, XML, XSL, and/or Websphere or Weblogic.
Understanding of multiple operating systems, databases, and network technologies.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills that include the ability to gain consensus on workgroup design and solutions for project deliverables.
Must have experience creating and facilitating opportunities for cross-team cohesion across Eeterprise workgroups focused on development delivery.
Must have experience with onshore/offshore delivery.
Qualifications
Experience developing large scale bus! iness systems applications.
Management experience with programming staff or technical lead experience including leadership, planning, and coordination of development work for large projects.
Demonstrated ability to mentor technical professionals.
Ability to organize team and focus on best practices, particularly regarding coding standards and quality assurance.
Strong working knowledge of the development life cycle management.
Knowledge of telecommunication systems is a plus.
B.S. Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
