ABOUT THE POSITION
The Business Development Manager creates, identifies and closes sales for ExactTarget within the Seattle market for a defined list of Named Accounts. As the individual who represents! ExactTarget and drives the revenue of our firm, the Business ! Development Manager must be a self-starting closer who can create a large pipeline of business within a short period of time.

We look for business athletes who are aggressive team players - hungry, nimble and intelligent - with the ability to close business both 'local' and enterprise deals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and drive revenue within the Seattle market for a defined list of large Named Accounts.
  • Generate business opportunities through professional, dedicated prospecting and cold-calling.
  • Drive brand awareness campaigns and lead generation via networking, associations & chambers of commerce.
  • Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual sales quotas.
  • Own the sales cycle - from lead generation to closure.
  • Develop strategic territory business plan.
  • Maintain account and opportunity forecasting within our internal SFA system.
  • Generate leads from tradeshows and regional networki! ng events.
  • Ensure 100% customer satisfaction and retention
Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:
  • A proven sales hunter and closer.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of software sales experience and 5 years outside field sales experience.
  • Experience at prospecting and selling into large Named Accounts
  • Track record of sales excellence.
  • Proven relationships and knowledge of territory assigned.
  • Articulate and persuasive oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast pace, rapid change environment.
  • Superior professional presence and business acumen.
  • Thorough understanding of MS Office applications and Internet.
  • Experience selling at the "C" level a plus.
  • Direct marketing experience a plus.
