Sr. Release Train Engineer
Our Client is looking for an experienced vendor Release Manager to help drive business critical projects across our c! ore group of feature teams. The Release Manager will be responsible for helping drive cross-group initiatives to enhance and support the Agile release process within the online store. This role demands someone who is a self-starter, great at prioritizing and organizing their deliverable s, has AMAZING communication skills, excellent at problem solving and breaking down complex tasks into simple easy to complete milestones, willing to jump in and "make it happen," and able to work at multiple levels from Senior Mgmt (GMs and higher) down to the individual contributors. One of their primary stated goals in life is to "make others successful!"
Skills and Experience
- 6-8 years program/project/release management experience able to operate at both a strategic level (Program) all the way down to a tactical level. A previous scrum master or Agile coach is ideal; PMP certification is a plus.
- Successfully coached teams through an 'agile migration at! a large enterprise'.
- Experience having worked in an ! ecommerce web and/or mobile applications environment. Ability to work effectively in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the integration of multiple diverse processes across functional teams into a single, seamless, easy-to-use, streamlined process that supports high-volume throughput.
- Manage virtual team: Works effectively with key stakeholders on complex, cross-team, projects. Experience with teams that are both on-shore and off-shore
- LOVES working with people, has excellent energy and presence in front of people, and a natural ability to influence others w/o direct authority and negotiating through conflict and driving issues to resolution.
- Ability to drive change by implementing a practical approach that meets Agile guidelines, but is open and flexible to optimize for the needs of each specific team.
- Drives process improvement initiatives to improve predictability and program stability. A L! ean process improvement background is a plus.
- Must be extremely detail-oriented, able to identify trends and spot opportunities for efficiency / process improvement across disparate data sets and roles. Strong background at developing and managing metrics
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and able to ask precise questions to get to the "nugget" of the issue/request.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Word, Visio and PowerPoint. Able to create detailed, yet practical project plans, identify risks/issues, and drive projects to completion on time, in scope, with EXCELLENT results. Experience with JIRA and JIRA add-ons a plus (iGraphx, Confluence, etc.)
