We are looking for a back-end senior software engineer or architect with expertise in delivering and operating large-scale software to guarantee scalability, availability, performance, and reliability of our online service. The right candidate is a great developer who is an expert web, big data, and cloud technologies and who thrives on challenges of scale.
In this role, you will partner closely with the CTO and the team in the development of the usermind platform and will be responsible the key services and infrastructure with highest scale and performance demands. You will design and implement specific services as well as build shared infrastructure and create best practices and tools for the whole team. You should be an expert in web technologies, databases, big data, and cloud and be v! ery comfortable taking a web service from an idea to ongoing evolution at a very large scale. You should also be passionate about agile development, working in a test driven environment, and continuous integration over multiple platforms. Requirements:
Excellent coding skills
Expertise in designing and implementing a large scale online services
Expertise in highly scalable, highly available, high performance cloud and web infrastructure
Expertise in devops infrastructure for scalable online services
Deep understanding of systems technologies, including networking, operating systems, storage, and databases.
Strong analytics and problem solving skills
Experience with complex event processing a big plus
Expertise in server-s! ide web services and applications development including preferably more! than one platform based on Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#.
Big data experience including storage and processing, including RDBMS, e.g., (MySQL, Postgress, MS SQL Server), NoSQL (Redis, MongoDB, HBase, Hive, Cassandra), and distributing processing (e.g., Hadoop),
Startup experience is a plus but so is working on kickass projects in a great SaaS/Cloud company.
Thrives in agile, test driven environments and excited about continuous integration over multiple platforms
Self-starter, flexible, versatile, entrepreneurial spirit, always learning new skills and technologies.
BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Loves to work as part of a team.
