SUMMARY. The QA Assistant is responsible for assisting in sampling, assessing, and verifying product imported from China, India, and other countries meet required set standards including legal compliance; meets customers quality expectations; maintains proper documentation of product assessment results.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Helping in the assessment of product (furniture) to ensure product meets customer requirements
- Ensuring products comply with quality and legal standards
- Aiding the quality manager to guide and train production staff in quality measures
- Assist in preparing reports for Senior management
- Oversee (replacement) parts department and maintain parts data
- Assist in record keeping of all quality issues.
- Follows all Company policies, rules, and regulations; adheres and complies with OSHA Safety Standards.
- Collating data and presenting information with graphs and charts.
- Scheduling meetings with management, other CH departments and vendors.
- Helping with daily administrative tasks, such as preparing quality reports, sending emails and filing images and reports received.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILL
- Minimum Associate degree
- Excellence in English written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in the furniture industry a plus
- Quality control experience a plus.
- Well organized; proactive; punctual; dependable
- Great problem-solving skills
- Strong statistical ability and math skills is desirable
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to persuade for collaboration
- Must be a detailed oriented individual.
- Must be a team player.
- Be able to work in a team setting as well as independently.
- Be able to work without supervision
- Advanced computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment
