The California Endowment's Los Angeles Center for Healthy Communities team is searching for a Set-Up Coordinator to join their team. This position is a fully- in-person role that will be required to report daily to the Los Angeles headquarters.

Position Summary:
The Setup Coordinator is responsible for the setup of conference rooms for The Center for Healthy Communities, Los Angeles. The Setup Coordinator reports to the Setup Supervisor. He/she works closely with the conference center team to assure the smooth operations of the The Center and is responsible for the upkeep of furnishings and storage areas.
Position Accountabilities:
- Set up and break down of furnishings for meetings and training.
- Responsible for coordinating set up and break downs with Events Manager (porter staff) when necessary.
- Work with Event Coordinator to create diagrams and room charts for events
- Responsible for organization and upkeep of conference and storage rooms.
- Responsible for the maintenance of furniture and other non-electronic Center equipment.
- Maintain high-level customer service standards.
- Active member in weekly team meetings.
- Cross-trained in conference center responsibilities.
- Assist in basic A/V set up and break down.
- Perform any conference center task as necessary.
- Ensures the smooth logistical operation of the Conference Center.
- Assist the conference center Senior Administrative Assistant with signage.
- Assure cleanliness of all center spaces
- Department’s day to day liaison with custodial staff
- Responsible for inventory of all center equipment.
Qualifications:
- 2 years in the hospitality industry or relevant field.
- Familiarity with hotel or conference center setup processes.
- Physical strength to carry and move furniture.

- Spanish language fluency a plus.
Minimum Education:
- High School or equivalent experience.
Salary Range:
Full range: $27.00/hr - $40.00/hr
Target Hiring Range: $27.00/hr - $33.00/hr
