The Implementation Manager provides both operational and application expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements. This position assists in prioritizing operational critical needs; executing unit, integration and acceptance testing; and providing guidance in operational training and support needs. The Implementation Manager reports directly to the Director of Implementation and is based at our Corporate Headquarters in Tacoma, WA.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, deploy, and manage the testing effort / framework for each release / delivery
- IT liaison and advocate during the project lifecycle. Works with other IT Team members regarding operational domain knowledge.
- Deployment: Implementation manager directs all activities for the deployment of the project. This includes translating the business requirements to the deployment personnel, overseeing and motivating staff, ensuring timely delivery of equipment and supplies needed and documenting the process. This may also involve identifying potential problems and presenting desirable solutions to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. When the project is completed, the implementation manager may be involved in training internal employees regarding use of the new systems, products or services.
- To understand business requirements, the Implementation Manager will analyze the needs of the organization and its employees. This includes developing the project process as it relates to the needs of the organization and avoiding interruption of business functions, working with executives to create a plan of execution and suggesting an implementation process that meets the required completion time frame and within budget.
- Implementation manager will meet with customers to understand their needs and concerns during the technology-development process. They answer questions and relay requests and feedback to the individuals designing the technology. Once the technology is complete, the Implementation Manager helps the customer understand how to use the new product or service by conducting training sessions or helping with onsite troubleshooting.
- Engages the participation of all team members by motivating them to work toward common goals and shared accountability for deliverables Engages the responsibility of all team members by stressing the individual accountability each team member has, and the shared goals across the entire project team
- Optimizes the performance of all team members through setting and managing to high goals, and leveraging individual strengths. Defines and measure the quality standard for the team.
This position has direct reports.
Qualifications:
- Ideal candidate will possess five years of formal or informal project related experience or other appropriate internal work experience with two years of supervisory experience preferred. Position may require an associate's degree in a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and Visio
- Operational domain knowledge; ability to work with business on prioritization, ranking requirements and traceability of requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently, and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
