The General Labor 2 position entails numerous labor tasks within the plant. There are a variety of tasks this position performs, which may vary from day to day. The tasks to be performed include, bu! t are not limited to the following:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Mat Rolling machine roll mats on a conveyor and place in storage
- Mending mending and patching garments; replacing hooks/snaps or zippers, repairing aprons and buttons
- Soil 2 sorting and counting soiled items
- Stockroom 2 general stocking and receiving, new order shipping, making label IDs, emblems and nametags, activate/close out A, B and C garments, and unloading skids
- Sewing Stockroom sewing emblems, hemming pants, mark, measure and rip pants, and sew emblems, and sleeve emblems
- RTS inspects merchandise received from a closed account
- Autosort Plus using the computer and sorting equipment to sort groups of clean garments
- Ability to meet the education, work experience, skills and competencies listed below
- Ability to understand and operate within safety rules, operatin! g and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Relevant experience working in a production environment is preferred, but not required
- Ability to perform the relevant above-mentioned essential job functions with a high degree of accuracy
Technical aptitude preferred
The position requires meeting or exceeding production quotas
Ability to operate simple machinery
