Job Summary
The Production Operator PD, Cleanroom Assembly is a mid-career level assembly position that performs assemblies which are moderate to complex in nature using independent judgment to resolve problems and make routine recommendations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Performs troubleshooting of moderately complex assemblies, using assembly tools and test equipment
- Assembles component and/ or subassemblies in conformance to drawing and quality standards
- May perform: rework/repairs; final/receiving inspection; complex soldering
- Cycle counting responsibilities
- Follows cleanroom protocol for gowning, cleaning, and contamination control
- Quickly finds and evaluates potential defects as small as 0.25mm
- Participates in problem solving teams to develop process improvements
- May train less experienced assemblers and mentor others
- May have new work or be g! iven special assignments
- Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above
- Understand and live by Esterline's ethics and business conduct policies
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills
- Possess intermediate knowledge of reading, interpreting, and implementing blueprints, schematics and drawings
- Must have good organization skills and intuitive feel in mapping out the work day to maximize successful completed laminations
- Ability to make good judgment of when to terminate a potential defective lamination
- Willing to cross-train across product lines
- Must have a keen attention to detail and dexterity; strong hand and eye coordination
- Works cooperatively in a team environment and effectively communicate with others
- Willing to work extra hours, and potentially weekends
- Must have computer skills and knowledge; ability to operate on a comput! er
- Has a moderate understanding of Lean principles
- Mu! st be able to stand a good part of the day
- Ability to work with minor discomforts environment including, noise, breezy, warm, sticky, adhesive covered gloves, adhesive, and solvent odors
- Ability to work with stress of costly, delicate, parts and processes that have yield challenges

Education/Previous Experience Requirements
- Typically requires a High school diploma or equivalent
- 5-7 years' related industry experience required
- Prefer previous cleanroom experience
Basic Work Hours
- Day Shift Hours Monday through Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm
