A day
in the life…
The ideal merchandise reporting analyst is motivated, results-oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day.
Create and maintain tools and reports that support the business needs
Analyze and make call outs on merchandise financial and assortment reporting
Provide training on the use of tools and reporting to support the team and/or division
Prepare ad hoc reporting to support leadership business needs
Serve as divisional expert on company wide reporting systems, tools, and analysis
Actively drive special projects as assigned
You own this if you have…
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum 1 year retail experience interacting directly with customers
Nordstrom experience preferred
Demonstrated un! derstanding of retail and the service environment of Nordstrom
Proficiency in MS Office suite, specifically Excel and Access
Experience with Hyperion Essbase and MicroStrategy OLAP preferred
Experience with SQL query and coding
Clear and effective written and verbal communications, and strong interpersonal skills
Strong aptitude in business math
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
