The Manager is operationally responsible for the planning, coordination, and direction of designated patient care services within the Family Maternity Center. They will collaborate with medical staff and all departmentsâ goals and objectives of the Nursing Departments, EvergreenHealth, and the District at large. This position provides operational leadership to the Director; exercises functional supervision over professional, technical, service, and support staff in assigned areas of responsibility. The manager would partner with a team including the Director, Managers, Perinatal CNS, Womenâ! s and Childrenâs Clinical Educator, and Care Coordinators. !
Work activities and assignments are determined and prioritized by goals and objectives established independently and collaboratively with the Director, quality partners, physician partners, and are influenced by internal and external drivers. We are accountable and responsible for quality care goals and outcomes. We are a data driven organization and work to have continuous process improvement. We utilize Lean processes for these improvements. We continue to examine patient safety and the development of teams. The tools we use are Team STEPPS as well as âDrillsâ. The nature of the clinical nurse managerâs work is to collaborate with the team to develop and orchestrate seamless care for perinatal care of patients from the county and regions we serve. The manager would supervise approximately 50-60 employees. The makeup of the Evergreen Health perinatal team would include: Change nurses, all RN staff, Nurse Techâs, OR Circulator, OR Scrub Technicians, Lactati! on Consultants as well as distribution staff. We utilize a Nurse Residency program for new graduates. Other major players include: Ob Hospitalists, Private OB/ GYN providers, Midwives as well as Maternal Fetal Medicine, pediatric Hospitalists, Anesthesia and Neonatology.
About Us: We serve as the Level III Perinatal and Neonatal IIIB center for the east side. We see 4400 deliveries per year. We have achieved and maintained Baby Friendly status â" Evergreen health being the first hospital in the US to achieve this designation. We provide couplet care in a 36 bed LDRP model. We have a 13 bed Antepartum Unit. We utilize family centered care as the care model. We have won the Healthgrades award for Maternity services for the past 8 consecutive years. EvergreenHealth is on a journey towards Magnet status. Qualifications and Requirements: Education Background: A graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required! . Advanced degree with management/supervisory emphasis is desirable. Wo! rk Experience: Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years management experience in a level III Perinatal Service environment. License or Certification: Currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington. Prefer certification with ANCC or NCC
