Planner (Buyer/Planner III)

Location: Woodinville Washington

Description: Bio-Rad, Inc. is at present recruited Planner (Buyer/Planner III) right now, this vacancy will be placed in Washington. Provides detailed production plans for assigned products, which include the more complex and difficult products. Reviews all planned order output generated by the mas! ter schedule, and releases the appropriate work orders to establish the production plan. Reviews capacity and material availability. Opens and maintains work orders to ensure that start and completion dates for assemblies, subassemblies and reworks are accurate, and accurately drive MRP requirements. Reports changes to the master schedule when capacity or materials prevent achievement of original completion dates. Maintains and publishes departmental reports and management sales reports. Assigns lot numbers, as required. Ensures lot number assignments strictly adhere to approved procedures and maintain GMP requirements for lot traceability and control. Follows up with purchasing, receiving and receiving inspection for purchased direct materials. Maintains the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system data elements for all assigned manufactured parts. Performs problem resolution of support information to ensure MRP integrity, i.e. Bills of Material, routings, master schedu! les, inventories, and open orders. Provides detailed schedulin! g of “bottleneck” work centers (plate coating, virus production). Communicates planning schedules to other business areas where decisions and recommendations can be made. Manages expired materials and works to minimize scrap, through analysis and coordination. Participates in new product planning as either a project team member or planning advisor to team. Participates in Engineering Change Order (ECO) actions, and recommends implementation plans. Recommendations may affect several product lines and financial impact of suggested changes must be evaluated continually. Coordinates pricing and standard cost updates for financial budgeting process.

Required Skills

In depth knowledge and application of principles and theories of the materials profession. Proficient with PCs, advanced Excel skills. Strong ERP skills are required. Strong background with SAP and JDE is very desirable.

Required Experience
High School Diploma. Certification in Produ! ction and Inventory Management (CPIM) through the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) and/or 2 year business related college degree preferred. 5+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
