Public Relations Coordinator

The public relations coordinator will oversee and assist with various functions within the public relations (PR) team. This person will be responsible for developing and sending C! hildren's Daily Media Summary; reporting and tracking media results; proactive and reactive media relations; serving as the liaison between the Foundation, Guild Association and Playroom; and assisting with development of content for the On the Pulse blog.
The public relations coordinator will also serve as an administrive support person for the PR team which includes managing vendor relationships, developing press lists, posting press releases and media stories to seattlechildrens.org, budget tracking, and scheduling meetings.
Requirements:
Required Education/Experience: - High School graduate or equivalent. - Minimum one year experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or related discipline. - Experience in creating, developing, and publication of marketing and communications materials. - Experience with media relations. - Experience with social media. Required Credentials: - Valid Washington State Drivers License may be ! required for specific positions. Preferred: - Bachelor’s deg! ree in marketing, communications, public relations, business, health care administration, or related field. - Experience in writing, coordinating, copyediting, and proofing print and on-line communications. - Experience in marketing, media/public relations, or communications in a health care field or non-profit organization.
