CABLE DESIGN ENGINEER

Location: Bothell Washington

Description: Adecco is at present recruited CABLE DESIGN ENGINEER right now, this position will be placed in Washington. Detailed specification about this position opportunity please read the description below. Our client has an immediate need for Cable Design Engineer

Duration: 7+ months
Rate: to $40.00-$50.00/hour

Experience: 3-5 years professional experience. Edu! cation: BS EE, ME, Electronics or similar technical degree.

• Design and develop custom cables that meet various requirements; electrical, mechanical, environmental, DQT, Service, EMC, etc.
• Technical knowledge in cable design and construction. Understands cable manufacturing practice/process, tooling, prototyping, material selection, wire sizing, contact material, flammability rating, etc.
• Generates cable design specifications and detailed drawings in 2D.
• Participates and contributes during Design reviews with cross functional teams to identify and gather specifications for cable design.
• Strong organizational skills .
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Ability to multi-task
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read electrical/wiring schematics on the PCB assembly to develop and verify p! inout table used on the cable design.
• Familiar with I! PC (610, Electronic Assemblies and 620, Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies) Specifications
• Working knowledge of EMC requirements (proper shielding of cables)
• Product Lifecycle support of commercial OEM devices within thesystem.
• Responsible for all design documentation, including test development and test reporting.
• Some 2D/3D CAD tool experience (SolidWorks or Pro Engineer) -- preferred, not required.
