Skills Inc. is looking for an Lab Test Engineer with our customer located in Redmond, WA. This is a vendor p! osition. Successful candidates will have at least 3+ years' experience supporting engineering activities such as design, test, check-out, modification, fabrication, assembly of prototypes and assist running design-of-experiments. You will work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. Experience performing writing and executing tests along with the analyzing/interpreting of test data and failures is a necessity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Test components, assemble prototypes, measure product performance and provide analysis reports with minimal engineering guidance.Troubleshoot hardware, software, and configuration issues in test fixtures, prototypes, and production products using various electronic lab test equipment.Assist in production test fixture updates and tracking, including hardware revisions and software installation and configurations.Confer with engineer! s, production personnel and others to generate test procedures! and work instructions.Design automated test systems including hardware control, calculations, results analysis, and reporting.Hands-on experience in prototype work and functional verification, specifically with electronics.Build electronic devices and mechanical fixtures necessary for testing products.Superb soldering & rework skills (QFNs, BGAs, CSPs, etc.).Assist Lab Manager with lab space managementExperience using LabView and TestStand and other software languages is a plus.Hands-on and fluent with lab equipment: digital multimeter, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, power supply, data logger, etc.Equipment procurement, calibration & maintenance, management of lab supplies and tools.Setting up the equipment Writing and executing test proceduresCrunching the data (understanding the meaning of the data and failure modes) EducationAssociate degree or engineering technology certification from an accredited (ABET) community or technical college, or higher.
