Accounts Payable Clerk reconciles and analyzes purchase orders, invoices, check requests, contracts, expense reports and receiving reports. Inputs data manually or through imported csv documents into the accounting system for payment, and does the necessary filing and scanning of documents. Responsibilities require the position to occasionally work with minimal supervision in order to meet regular deadlines. Performs other duties as needed.High School Diploma or GED required. Two years post-high school education preferred. Minimum one year or more experience in accounting required.
Finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination to perform procedures. Must have experience or be trainable on computer entry and 10-key calculator. Write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access). Excellent communication skills. Operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; perform basic math functions; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Recognize faces, hear on the phone/in person/in the environment, and see or hear equipment indicators. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
