Position Objective:
PETA is seeking an online marketing assistant who can help keep our PETA Latino marketing team organized and forward-thinking and help us reach even more people across social media. PETA Latino, PETA’s campaign to reach and engage with Latinx people in the U.S. as well as people across Latin America, has one of the most engaged-with advocacy presences on social media and reaches tens of millions of people each month with hard-hitting emotional animal rights content. You'll help animals by assisting with the creation of website and video content, and by assisting our efforts across platforms Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:- Coordinate with PETA's social media team by requesting new PETA Latino original content and Spanish translations of existing content
- Assist with scheduling and posting social media content across PETA Latino's social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube
- Help PETA Latino engage with celebrities and influencers on social media by monitoring celebrity tweets for relevant content, sending victories and other announcements to celebrities, and helping with other engagement
- Liaise with PETA’s internal video teams, including by requesting new videos, requesting edits to existing videos, and requesting raw clips of footage for PETA Latino to share on social media
- Maintain usage rights for photos and videos shared on social media (archive photos, track down permissions from third parties, maintain professional contacts, etc.)
- Assist with tracking and analysis of PETA Latino's digital marketing efforts
- Use WordPress to build pages on PETALatino.com
- Participate in PETA Latino's weekly campaign meetings
- Perform any other administrative duties assigned by the supervisor
- College degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of one year of experience in an office environment
- Extensive knowledge of social media and working knowledge of the internet
- Native-level Spanish speaking and writing abilities
- Knowledge of Latinx culture
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office software
- Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to conduct and analyze marketing research
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
- Support for PETA's philosophy and ability to advocate for our positions on issues professionally
- Commitment to the objectives of the organization
The hourly pay range for this position is $15.45 to $19.10 per hour. The ultimate hourly pay within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.
