The Marketplace team is looking for a creative proje! ct manager to design and implement a Business Management System (BMS) for the Marketplace Business. The BMS will enable our business and technical leaders to deliver on dozens of products and programs and literally hundreds of goals. Many of these programs and goals are interrelated and require input and output from our internal business and technical teams and our partners in other organizations and parts of the world.
o Specific responsibilities include the following:
§ Create a Business Management System that helps our business leaders deliver more value, more consistently with fewer surprises
§ Create transparency for the leadership team â€" How are we progressing against our objectives? Where do the teams need leadership support / intervention?
§ Reduce friction for updates/annual planning
§ Define a system that sets the ‘gold standard’ for business and goals management at Amazon
Basic Qualifications
Strong back! ground (5+ years) in project management
Strong oral and wr! itten communication skills are crucial, as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, and prioritize.
Sound business judgment, program manager experience, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and manage changing priorities.
Ability to build and implement repeatable, scalable processes
Must have bias for action, and experience making things happen in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor's degree is required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with workflow tools
- Ability to simultaneously work on tactical / urgent and the strategic / longer term priorities.
