PUBLIC WORKS DEPT.
Jefferson County, WA Public Works Dept seeks full-time Traffic Sign Technician. This position ensures that the Cou! nty's traffic signage & pavement marking program is successfully implemented in conformance with relevant standards & regulations. Duties include: assemble, install & repair traffic signs & pavement markings; maintain & update sign database; design & fabricate signs using computerized software & manual equipment. Minimum Qualifications: HS Diploma/GED & 4 years experience in traffic signage, technical civil engineering or related field; or, equivalent combination of education & experience. Current Flagger Certification Card required. International Municipal Signal Association (IMSA) Signs & Markings Specialist certification & Traffic Control Supervisor certification desirable.
Salary: $21.49/hour, Grade A1-H, Step 1, Union Position, Full Benefits.
