3M is seeking a Quality Technician II for the Industrial Business Group located in Seattle, WA. Be part of what’s next!
Job Summary :
The position of Quality Technician II is an experienced (not entry) level analytical lab position. This position is responsible for performing quality control analytical testing, basic analysis, and data entry. The Quality Specialist II will interface frequently with the Quality Technician IV (area Lead).
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Operate lab equipment and calibrate as necessary
- Conduct product testing to determine quality level
- Analyze test results
- Record test results in electronic database
- Create discrepancy reports
- Release lots from quality hold in SAP when testing is complete and acceptable
- Create certificate of analysis and/or certification of conformance
- Mak! e recommendations for milling time changes
- Conducts i! ncoming raw material inspections
- Conduct internal quality audits
- Report any SOP discrepancies or need for quality improvement to the Quality Technician IV to ensure compliance with QMS and customer requirements.
- Performs basic equipment troubleshooting tasks and works with the Quality Technician IV to resolve equipment failures.
- Other duties as assigned by Quality Technician IV or by the Quality Manager. May include preparation of samples and submittal of paperwork for external lab testing.
- Working a fixed third shift
Basic Qualifications:
- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher
- One year experience with analytical testing
- Experience in a Quality Assurance role
- One year experience with Microsoft Excel
- Experience with basic statistics, trend ! analysis and/or measurement studies
- Intermediate computer knowledge
