“hello82, wherever you are!” KAI Media / hello82 is the world’s first media/commerce/event brand for global K-pop fans. A great opportunity to get into the music entertainment industry; we are looking for talented multicultural and multilingual people to join our expanding team. (And being a K-pop fan is a major plus!)
ROLE
This temporary/contract position reports directly to the company’s Manager of Retail and Stores, and is responsible for ringing up customers, cash handling, and overall positive in-person customer service. Contract employees will be required to report in-person to our Los Angeles location and must be available to work from August 1st to August 21st (up to 40 hours; 5-days/week).
RESPONSIBILITIES

Welcome customers into the store

Operate point-of-sale system and have basic cash handling skills.

Walk the floor and interact with customers

Maintain an upbeat, positive, and welcoming attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment

Answer customers’ questions about specific products, discounts, ongoing events/promotions, etc.

Upsell and cross-sell products and help to cultivate/maintain a happy returning customer base

Assist lead staff with inventory counts and restocks

Be flexible with schedule, working hours, and assigned tasks

Most importantly, engage with fans and create a fun atmosphere in line with our slogan, “hello82, wherever you are!”
QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working with customer service and having the ability to answer difficult questions

Knowledge of K-pop and understanding of fandom culture is greatly preferred

High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent

Fluent in English

Familiarity with Shopify or other point-of-sale systems is a plus!

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Flexible to work other days of the week if business needs require it.

Flexible to work with other departments when needed

Experience with point-of-sale systems like Shopify is a plus!

Fluency in Korean is preferred but not required
LOCATION
On-site only at hello82 LA office/retail space in Los Angeles (Mid-Wilshire area)
This is an on-site, temporary contract position. Must be willing to commute or temporarily relocate to LA. Housing/accommodations are not provided by the company.
STANDARD WORK HOURS (subject to change according to business need)
Mon-Sun: 10:30AM - 7:30PM
This is a temporary contract position.
Hourly rate may be negotiable based on experience level and transition to full-time may also be negotiable according to business need.
