Department: Laboratory Schedule: On-Call / Per Diem Shift: Variable Hours: Varied Hours/Pay Period: 0.0 Job Details: The Overlake Hospital Laboratory is looking for a Lab Assistant. Our ! Lab Assistants work in the following areas: Processing, Receiving, Phlebotomy, Blood Bank Outpatient receiving, Microbiology setup We have wonderful staff members working here and the work is varied and interesting. We are looking for experienced (highly preferred) and productive clinical Laboratory Assistants to join our department. We are growing and want to secure the best employees we can recruit to continue improving our team.
Position requires technical training/certification in phlebotomy and high school degree or GED. Upon hire, requires Health Care Assistant (HCA) licensure through the hospital. Six months hospital experience preferred. Experience with phlebotomy on neonatal, pediatric, geriatric, adult, trauma and critical patients also preferred.
Required Qualifications: · High School graduate or GED required. · Washington State Dept of Health "Medical Assistant - Phlebotomy Certificate" REQUIRED.
